Marr studies the dynamics of bioaerosols in the atmosphere

Marr, the Charles P. Lunsford Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech, applies engineering tools to study the dynamics of bioaerosols in the atmosphere. Bioarerosols are biological material, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parts of organisms, in the air.

She has recently studied how SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) netbet live casinocould be transported in air.

Her lab also focuses on developing accurate estimates of air pollutant emissions and studying the release, transformation, fate, and toxicity of nanomaterials in the atmosphere.
